COVID-19 Safety Protocol

Enviroquest is taking the COVID-19 issue very seriously. Safety has always been our main priority and the core of our business. As our work relates to the safety of dwellings, we are taking the following precautions in order to protect our employees, clients, and the occupants of houses we enter:

For inspections –

  • We strongly encourage all parties not to attend the inspection. This is the best way to respect the safety and property of others, as the virus spreads from person to person and may linger on surfaces.

  • All attendees must abide by current government guidance and regulations. At the time of this writing, this includes but is not limited to: every person present must wear face, hand, and foot coverings. Please note: Attendees aside from residents are not permitted in areas where a stay-at-home order is in effect.

  • Inspection summaries are available via phone or video chat with the inspector upon completion.

  • Inspectors clean their equipment between inspections to reduce the likelihood of spreading viruses between houses.

  • Inspectors wash their hands on arrival to a home, and wipe down surfaces touched during an inspection, such as switches, faucets, thermostats, doorknobs, etc.

  • Inspectors have not traveled to high-outbreak areas recently and are monitoring for any possible cold or flu-like symptoms. If symptoms arise they will be instructed to self-isolate per CDC recommendations.

For radon work –

  • PA ranks 3rd in the country for radon. Radon gas is a class A carcinogen and, like COVID-19, also attacks the lungs. As people are spending more time inside, it is important to fix radon issues wherever possible.

  • Technicians each have sole control over their own equipment vehicles, and do not come in direct contact with each other. They are instructed to maintain at least a 6 ft distance from other people per CDC and OSHA guidelines.

  • We ask clients to provide a method of access to the basement that does not involve direct contact, by leaving a door unlocked or hiding a key in a specified place, etc.

  • Contact surfaces are regularly disinfected and technicians wash their hands between appointments.

  • Technicians have not traveled to high-outbreak areas recently and are monitoring for any possible cold or flu-like symptoms. If symptoms arise they will be instructed to self-isolate per CDC recommendations.
